Default Too many Dwarfs

After I help the Prince fight off the Charr which was real easy, I am sent to the next camp to start quest fighting dwarfs and ice men. It is hard to complete a quest due to the amount of bad guys being throwed at you. I am a 13 level warrior and using henchmen due to the fact it seems impossible to get a party together to help you. My question is it normal for the quest to be this hard wih henchmen or do I need to be at a higher level?

So this probably means you are in Yakk's bend =)
I had a hard time there not being high enough level. Puling is the way to go in that very busy section with dwarfs and if you are unlucky the walking ice sticks are aggroed too.
Be careful and I think lvl 13 should be doable on that part of the game.

Thanks... I guess I need to try and upgrade my armor a little better. But when I try to carefully pull a few for some reason it seems to signal all in the general area to attack. I will work at it.

You are definitely at the right level for that phase of the game ( Yak's Bend / Northern Shiverpeaks).

Follow the link I've provided and read up on the quests. Some of them will affect the number of foes you encounter in that area.

Or first get a run to Droknar's Forge, get max armor, max weapons and a good build. With henchies it's possible, but maybe the level would be problem. Or just leave IGN and i'll help you with that one .

One thing to bare in mind for this section is that iff you have all the available quests from Yaks bend then many of the quests lead to their own bands of dwarves. haveing all the quests means these groups overlap and are particularly hard going.

It's worth getting rid of all but one of the quests you picked up in the shiverpeaks (for example keep your primary quest) and complete that, and you can then go back ans sort each of the other quests in turn without overwhelming yourself

Lots of new players get hung up at Yak's Bend because they pick up all the available quests at the same time. The degree of difficulty bumps up a notch there as well. For a newbie Warrior, something to watch out for in that area is getting hexed with Empathy. If you keep attacking when hexed with that, you're basically just beating yourself up and no amount of armor will help. So, some sort of hex removal skill is highly desirable for a low-level newbie.

Speaking of which, did you get new armor in Yak's Bend?

Everyone's pretty much told you the best way to get through it. This just brought back memories of the old days. Also try to lure some groups out if you can.

Yes I did. My porblem was that I had all of the quest at one time that made it harder to get through the pass.

Also, as regards pulling groups, when you leave Yaks take the left hand path first. You will encounter some dwarfs and ice golems at a bridge. This is the another way into main dwarf area. Take out the first group on the path, then wait for the boss ice golem to patrol your way on the bridge and take out his group.

The go back to the path and make your way further along and come down in to the area from above, pulling small groups. The problem with this area is that all the patrols meet in the area, so you need to get them from outside.

Here is a link to a thread on the same subject from Nov 09. And I repeat my general advice from that thread. When your quest arrow leads you into a mess, rethink it and look for a different way to get through the area.

Just a bit of advice to help you find groups: The party search feature is extremely useful, but many people never think of using it, which is why district-hopping still works better. Just message "Anyone up for the mission?" or something similar to all, wait for replies; if you're not getting any, switch districts and try again.

This is probably one of the harder quests in prophecies. if you can beat the roadblock with h/h on a level 13, you'll be learning valuable skills for the rest of your days as a warrior.
